Marvin, his wife Rachael, and their German Shepherd, Zeus, are based in Mesa, Idaho, a small town in central Idaho about two hours from Boise. Marvin is the owner of My Barnyard and has spent most of his career in the building industry.

Our Story

We’re a small, humble business based in northeast Oregon with years of experience in farming, animal care, and building quality structures for dogs and chickens. Our journey began with a simple goal to create comfortable spaces for animals when we couldn’t find the right solution ourselves. What started as building one high-quality kennel quickly grew as others saw the difference and wanted the same for their animals.
